Session 2: Prompting Fundamentals

•  What is a prompt?

•  Anatomy of a good prompt: clarity, context, constraints

•  Types of prompts: instructive, descriptive, conversational

•  Group exercises


Session 3: Hands-On Prompting Practice

•  Applying prompting to real tasks: writing, summarizing, brainstorming

•  Prompting for image generation with a LLM

Dr. Xu Weidi

Chief Algorithm Engineer, INF Hong Kong Limited
Dr. Xu Weidi holds a PhD from the Computational Intelligence Laboratory at Peking University, with deep expertise in artificial intelligence and natural language processing. He is a recipient of the Second Prize in the Beijing Science and Technology Natural Science Awards, recognizing his significant contributions in the field. Currently serving as Chief Algorithm Engineer at INF Hong Kong Limited, Dr. Xu previously worked as a researcher at Ant Group’s Artificial Intelligence Laboratory. His work centres on neural-symbolic systems, aiming to build trustworthy and interpretable AI models. At INF, Dr. Xu integrates deep learning with symbolic reasoning to enhance model interpretability and generalization. He also leads to apply generative AI across real-world financial scenarios. Under his leadership, INF won the Hong Kong Hang Seng Index Innovation Challenge and collaborated with leading international financial institutions to deploy AI advanced applications.
