Kenneth Wong, founder and CEO of Evercare, witnessed how much difficulties his parents were facing when hiring caregivers for his grandparents. To address such challenges, he was prompted to start Evercare 4 years ago, after having worked in New York at Morgan Stanley. “C-A-R-E”, i.e., “Compassion”, “Accountability”, “Reliability” and “Empowerment”, are Evercare’s core values. The company aims to change the way the community ages through the provision of professional and hospital-quality home care services. With its own custom-built online platform Evercare Portal, the company acts as a middleman in matching healthcare professionals to those in need. This not only provides an alternative for elderly and others who demand healthcare service, but also more flexible job opportunities for nurses, doctors and other healthcare workers.
